Fiumara Grande
Enter from the Tiber’s river mouth and head inland to the boatyard. It can always be used with a Tramontana or Maestrale wind, and it’s the route linked to the approximate 4.4 km distance.
Where we are
Servizi Nautici Giua is on Via Pal Grande, in Fiumicino: an inland mooring, surrounded by greenery and sheltered from passing boat traffic.
The location
The nearest river mouth is about 4.4 km away, roughly 2.38 nautical miles by river — a distance that shields the boatyard from direct wave action and the constant passage of boats.
Arriving by water
Fiumara Grande can be used with a Tramontana or Maestrale wind; the Fiumicino Canal can always be used. Before you arrive, we’ll confirm together the best route for your boat.

Enter from the canal and continue along the river: a route that can always be used. For sailboats, the passage is arranged with bridges and mast height in mind.

The bridge photo
The photo shows a sailboat passing under a bridge with its mast unstepped. This applies only to certain boats and certain routes — we work it out calmly once you’ve requested a berth.
On the Fiumicino canal side, the route crosses two lift bridges — the "Ponte 2 Giugno" and the pedestrian walkway beside it — which only raise at set times (check current hours on the Capitaneria di Porto di Roma-Fiumicino website). The third bridge along the way is fixed, with a clearance of 10.5 metres: sailboats under that height can pass without unstepping the mast.
Depths, passages and arrival arrangements are confirmed before entry, based on your boat and up-to-date conditions.
